on 12/17/12 i purchased a sweater at banana republic for 38.44 and paid cash i was told i could get 15% off for opening a credit card which i did . several weeks later i received a bill for 38.44 after several talks with the store manager and trying to fix the problem at the point of sale she keeps referring me to the credit card company who had intrun referred me to the store and there customer service department i just keep getting the runaround. beware of banana republic employees double dipping and check your receipt before living the store

Well, if you do not know how to spell "retired" I question your memory and your actions on that day. They whole point of opening a credit card at a store IS TO USE IT FOR PURCHASES. If you handed them cash your an ***.

I know from experience thats all...you have no clue...but the register does need to open in order to accept cash payments...which would also be shown on the receipt

This is not possible.There is no way you payed cash when you opened a credit card.

When they open an account with you, the cash drawer does not even open so you are mistaken about paying cash at the time of your purchase.Your receipt would also show this information....
